“In spite of my poor health I have survived COVID-19. I think that with God's help others can do it as well. I think it is important to remain calm and pray rather than panic. Now is the time to put our trust in God for He is the One who knows the best way to our salvation.
This animation was accomplished by young residents of the boarding home for children with special needs located nearby. They simply draw figures, cut them out and move them around. This technique is very simple. The children only need volunteer help with some technical things like cutting and editing. In 2010 several of our parishioners have organized an animation studio helping creative efforts of these children reach the audience.
Nun Vera had been addicted to heroin for eight years before she joined the Convent in 2005. Now with 15 years of a free and happy life without drugs under her belt, she continues to live and work on the convent horse stable. Her life is a unique example of breaking a habit by entrusting one’s life to God.
Things that don’t match our priorities usually pass us unnoticed. We could hardly accept them even if we wanted to, because they are simply off our radar. Here, at the Convent, we like to say: "This is Father Andrey's blessing". In most cases, I have no idea what these "blessings" are. In reality, people come to me with ready strategies, looking as if they know exactly what to do and eager to do it. There is nothing left for me to say but "Go ahead". Hardly does anyone ever come to me and say: 'What should I do? How do I live my life now?"
